Specialty Groups

Support groups can be directed to individuals with particular needs or issues, such as those with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease, those coping with bereavement following the death of a loved one, or adult children of Alzheimer’s patients.

Alzheimer’s Education Series for Family Caregivers

Sign up for this three-part workshop for caregivers.

  • Gain a greater and more in-depth understanding of dementia and how it progresses
  • Learn new communication skills to enhance your verbal and non-verbal interactions with your loved one
  • Achieve a deeper understanding of the causes of difficult behaviors and how best to manage changes in your loved one’s personality

LGBT Alzheimer’s & Dementia Caregiver Support Group

This educational support group provides an opportunity for LGBT caregivers of someone affected by Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia to receive disease information and guidance regarding care planning strategies while establishing bonds with other LGBT caregivers.
